The VideoLAN project is pleased to announce the release of the first version of the Goldeneye branch of VLC: 1.0.0. This major release introduces many new features, new formats and new codecs to the VLC multimedia framework and fixes a very high number of bugs that were present in the 0.9.x or 0.8.6 versions.

For the first time in the show's history, The Simpsons will be in HD for all to see Sunday night, as well as the first full, permanent revamp of the show's opening titles since its premiere in 1989. Fox will also air both a full-length and an abbreviated version of the credits.

Cop Knocked Down Bicyclist & Blatantly Lies in Arrest Report

You've probably seen that YouTube video of the New York cop, Patrick Pogan viciously knocking down a bicyclist in Times Square last week. Pogan offered a fantastical version of the incident claiming that the bicyclist drove his bicycle directly into him, knocking the cop to the ground and causing "lacerations". This is a blatant lie.
